I am retired Navy Captain Hung Cao.

My family escaped from Vietnam just days before Saigon fell to the communists.

My mother sewed notes into our clothes saying, “This is my son, Hung. Please take care of him” -- in case we were separated or if they were killed.

We were then given a new life in the most generous country on Earth.

America literally saved my life!

I graduated from the Naval Academy and then earned a master’s degree in physics and fellowships from MIT and Harvard.

I spent the rest of my life repaying my debt to OUR COUNTRY with 25 years in Special Operations, serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia. I dove the ocean depths to recover victims of crashes including John F. Kennedy, Jr.

I returned from Afghanistan in January 2021. Six months later, Joe Biden abandoned everything we had achieved to the Taliban.

Since then, Joe Biden and his radical Democrats have continued taking our great nation down a very dark road.

If someone doesn’t stop them NOW, we will lose our freedom forever. That is why I am running for the U.S. Senate in Virginia. I will not stand by and let the Left turn our Republic into the type of nightmare my family fled in Vietnam.

I owe America so much.

I cannot stand by and let the radical Left destroy everything that makes America the greatest nation on Earth.

The oath I took as a naval officer didn’t expire simply because I hung up my uniform.

My country needs me.
