Here are some recent updates.
* A New Mexico court upheld ([link removed]) the state's congressional map. The court found that while the map favors Democrats, it is not an "egregious gerrymander" and therefore does not violate the state constitution.
* The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals held oral argument ([link removed]) in a case that will determine Louisiana's congressional map for the 2024 elections. Check out our live tweet of the argument here ([link removed]) .
* The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld ([link removed]) a Tennessee law that makes it a felony for an individual to pass out mail-in ballot applications if they are not a state election employee. Civil and labor rights groups argued that the law violates the First and 14th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.
* Proposed objections to Ohio’s new state legislative maps have been filed in ([link removed]) all ([link removed]) three ([link removed]) ongoing legislative redistricting cases before the Ohio Supreme Court.
