*Minimum Wage Will Be $15.13 Per Hour For Most Workers in 2024 [ [link removed] ]*

New Jersey's statewide minimum wage will increase by $1 to $15.13 per hour for most employees on January 1st, 2024. Employees of small or seasonal businesses, direct care staffers at long term care facilities, tipped workers, and agricultural employees can *click here [ [link removed] ]* to see the different minimum wage scales applicable to their positions.

The ANCHOR Outreach Team is visiting communities to help people file their applications for property tax relief. They will knock on doors six days a week, Monday through Saturday, between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., answering questions about this season's Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters benefit. The team will wear dark blue vests with yellow lettering identifying them as members of the ANCHOR Outreach Team, as well as yellow ID badges.

If you're not home when the team visits your neighborhood, they will leave officially authorized door hangers with ANCHOR information. ANCHOR eligibility requirements, online application tools, and more information are available 24/7 at *ANCHOR.nj.gov [ [link removed] ].*

*New Arrivals Can Apply for Authorization to Work [ [link removed] ]*

The State of New Jersey is working to expand access to employment for new arrivals to the United States. Certain people that recently arrived in the U.S. are now eligible to apply to legally work ? they include, but are not limited to:


* People paroled into the U.S. through the parole processes for nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela (CHNV)
* People who present at a Port of Entry after scheduling a One App appointment from U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and are admitted to the U.S.
* People who have applied for or received Temporary Protected Status
* People who have applied for asylum that have had their application pending for at least 150 days

The State has also created new resources for employers interested in hiring recent arrivals.
