Hi,
As fall comes around, the brisk winds bring a refreshing change to
the sweltering heat of the summer. However, this relief is only
temporary. The summer of 2023 was alarmingly the hottest on global
record and, with the progression of climate change, it will only get
worse.1
Climate change is an urgent issue that demands the
attention of everyone. One way to address this crisis
effectively is through climate literacy and environmental education.
When combined with strong civic education, climate literacy and
environmental education enhances the opportunities to create jobs,
build a more sustainable market, and enables citizens to be mindful
stewards of the world.
EARTHDAY.ORG is dedicated to fostering a world that
engages in the education revolution to save the planet. Join
us in the effort to raise climate literacy, build a more sustainable
future, and empower individuals to become mindful stewards of our
precious planet.
Check out our newly designed website to access
invaluable educational resources and be a part of the climate activism
movement.
It is abundantly clear that climate change is a grim
reality that will define our future. Recognizing this
reality, it is vital that our education systems are robust enough to
align with this global issue. Investing in climate literacy and
environmental education gives us the tools and knowledge to confront
the climate crisis.2
At EARTHDAY.ORG, we have prioritized climate and environmental
literacy as a means to engage individuals in fostering significant
change. We encourage you to make use of the helpful resources we
provide for free, including toolkits, curriculum packets, and
more.
Be an active participant in the collective
effort to combat climate change and protect our planet’s
future.
In solidarity,
Bryce Coon Director of Education
