Please join me at the East Hartford Public Library for a public forum on Sunday, October 8th at 2:00 PM, to discuss the upcoming House vote for a Speaker of the House and the state of government funding.

The House of Representatives voted this week to remove Speaker Kevin McCarthy from his position. The House is now faced with electing a permanent Speaker for the 118th Congress, as the chair is now vacated and temporarily filled with an acting Speaker pro tempore.

During the forum, we will discuss what led to this historic vote and what to expect moving forward. We will also discuss the state of government funding which is due to expire on November 17th.
