Immigration is always a hot topic for Republicans in Congress — from their schemes to increase militarized violence at the border to their defense of the most horrific Trump-era policies.

But today I want to talk about something we haven't heard from them: their plan for the futures of hundreds of thousands of immigrant youth who will lose DACA protections because right-wing officials from across the country are fighting aggressively to end the policy in the courts.

The reality is, Republicans will eventually have to confront this issue and the fact that a majority of people in this country support a pathway to citizenship for DACA recipients and DACA-eligible people.

But until then, Republicans’ assault on DACA, without any real commitment to legislate solutions, speaks volumes about how little they care about their constituents and the broader will of the people.

Driving meaningful change begins with voting for representatives who prioritize just, equitable, and compassionate immigration solutions. This is our mission at the NILC Immigrant Justice Fund, and we need your help to get there.
