If there is one thing Wes and I strongly believe, it’s that service will save us.

Our commitment to service led us to the Governor’s office in the first place, and it’s why we’ve launched a whole new service-based program for our youth – the first of its kind in the nation!

Let me tell you a little more about it, John: As of this year, Maryland high school graduates had the option to apply for a service year, where they can give back to their communities and earn a living wage for their work. We’re working with local non-profits, businesses, public agencies, and schools to help recent high school graduates kickstart their careers in public service — and over 500 graduates have already applied!

This program is a really big deal. By investing in our youth, we’re investing in a whole new generation for our future. Service is what will bring us together — and we can’t stop here.

For Maryland to continue leading the way and launch more first-in-the-nation programs, Wes needs our support. Today, I’m asking if you’ll support the Moore-Miller administration by making a contribution right now. Any support will go a long way.
