The Room for All Board of Directors has named Cameron Van Kooten Laughead to the role of Executive Director, effective March 1. "The Board of Directors is excited for Cameron's leadership,” said Rev. Chad Tanaka Pack, President of the Board. "With Cameron as Executive Director, we are extremely confident that 2020 will be a strong year for our ongoing work."
Van Kooten Laughead previously served as the organization's Associate Director, and prior to that as Community Coordinator, after serving as a member of the RfA board for two years.
We are looking forward to Cameron building upon his outstanding history of service in the organization," said Tanaka Pack.
Van Kooten Laughead joined the Room for All staff in January 2015. During his tenure, he has played significant roles in two National Conferences, several strategic fundraising campaigns, and oversaw the 2019 series of regional celebration events.
"For just over five years, I've had the unique pleasure of serving Room for All's community of supporters across the Reformed Church in America as staff of this incredible organization," Van Kooten Laughead said. "It's an honor to step into this role and help lead Room for All into the next chapter as we continue to support, educate, and advocate for and with people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions in the RCA."
A native of Pella, Iowa and 2013 graduate of Central College, Van Kooten Laughead lives in Des Moines, Iowa, with his husband, Ian. For more information, contact [email protected] or 201-364-4538.
