Ladder 11 Called into Service
During the Fire Department Open House, visitors to the Fire Station will get an extra-special treat! With the recent delivery of the City's new fire engine, the Department is hosting a housing ceremony to officially add Ladder 11 into the City's fleet.
The new ladder truck is equipped with several features including an emergency notification system to alert nearby drivers of an approaching emergency vehicle, through the use of mapping apps.
Join us in welcoming Ladder 11 at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Mendota Heights Fire Station (2121 Dodd Rd.) .

Infrastructure Projects Update
Victoria Curve and Orchard Hill Street Improvements??Victoria Curve (from Highway 13 to Hunter Lane) and Orchard Hill were paved with the first lift of bituminous this week. The concrete contractor began installing curb on Friday before rain moved in and the work had to be delayed. The concrete work is expected to continue the week of October 9. Project updates are available at?Mendotaheightsmn.gov/Projects.
Highway 62?? MnDOT completed the Highway 62 Concrete Repair Project and the Highway opened on October 5. ?This project is now complete.

Governor Walz Orders Special Election
Vacancy in the office of State Representative for District 52B of the State of Minnesota, caused by the resignation of Representative Ruth Richardson effective Sept. 1, 2023, requires a special election to ensure representation for the citizens of this district.
A special primary election for nomination of candidates is Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023. A special election to fill the vacancy is Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023.

Paper Shredding Event

Shred and recycle confidential material. Pioneer Secure Shred staff collects and secures material into a locking security container and transports it directly to the mobile shredding vehicle.

Dakota County Fix it Clinic
October 21; Noon-3 p.m. Pleasant Hill Library, Hastings
Get items fixed or mended for free and learn useful repair skills! Volunteers help you figure out what's wrong and fix your broken items. Clinics build community and reduce the amount of stuff thrown in the trash.
