Back in January after it took 15 votes to finally elect Kevin McCarthy as their Speaker, my opponent John James said, “The American people… want Republicans to lead and they want a government that works and doesn't embarrass them.”

Mission failed.

This is already the most unproductive Congress in modern history, and you can credit MAGA Republicans like John James who have made their political careers sowing discord.

As a financial planner, I do a lot of what Congress is supposed to on a daily basis: Make difficult budgetary projections to help working Michiganders buy homes, save for college, and plan for the future. I also advise small businesses on how to grow their companies.

I see how decisions in Washington impact our lives every day. And I can tell you that this manufactured gridlock comes at a time when our district needs strong leadership more than ever. MAGA Republicans like John James have once again shown us that they’re all talk — and it’s our community that has to pay the price.
