We are still in a battle to secure a fair map for the state of Alabama that gives black voters the opportunity to elect true representation.

While the recent ruling struck down the state’s SECOND racist redistricting plan and appointed a special master to redraw our congressional map, we must remain vigilant.

Hard-fought battles for voting rights that we thought were long over have resurfaced, and the GOP will not stop trying to spread voter suppression in our state and across the country.

The GOP has made it clear that they will do whatever it takes to dilute Black representation if it means expanding their razor-thin House majority, even if it means blatantly disregarding a ruling from the Supreme Court and the Voting Rights Act.
