I always loved the excitement around the first day of school. Whether it was Greenway Middle School or my first day teaching at the university, there is a sense of magic and optimism in the air. I’d like to welcome back all students and wish them tremendous success in the upcoming school year.

A giant thank you to educators, staff, administrators and all the talented people who dedicate their careers to provide Arizona children with the educational foundation for a lifetime of achievement.

Lastly, a shout out and thank you to parents for your non-stop efforts preparing your kids for the school year and the countless hours you will spend helping them thrive.

Hope you had an awesome summer and here’s to keeping that first day ‘magic’ going all through the school year!
