John, my name is Khalilah Karim, and I’m so grateful Nida is letting me reach out to you directly.
Like Nida, I’m a Muslim organizer and mother. I’m also queer and Black. You don’t see lots of people like me and Nida in office, but in a political climate with increasing hate, I believe we need local elected officials who know what their communities are going through and are ready to stand up for our communities.
I'm running to push for an affordable, equitable city built for ALL, but I need help from grassroots supporters like you to fund a winning campaign and make my vision a reality.
There are only 4 days until my primary election, and it’s a race against the clock to reach critical voters with my message before they cast their votes.
Will you split a $27 donation between Nida’s campaign and mine to help us fight for progress in Durham? >>
Growing up like I did, in a working-class family, I learned quickly that building real community starts with organizing. And when you organize WITH your community, you can take on anyone who threatens it.
Here in North Carolina, those threats keep coming every day: against LGBTQ+ rights, abortion access, and our Black and Brown communities.
These attacks make it clearer than ever that we need progressives like me and Nida in office, who are ready to fight TOGETHER against the attacks determined to take us backwards.
But with just 4 days to go until my election, I need YOUR help to raise the funds for lawn signs, mailers, and digital ads that will spread my message to critical voters.
John, I know you’ve had Nida’s back, and now, I’m counting on grassroots supporters like you to help me win this race and join her in fighting for progressive values. Will you please split a donation between our campaigns today? >>
In Solidarity,
Khalilah Karim
