ROAD TRIP TO VICTORY TOUR - DEMOCRATS DELIVER

From Tulsa to Oklahoma City and around the state, the Oklahoma Democratic Party wrapped up its historic statewide bus tour to meet rural Democrats with a press conference and rally on Saturday, September 30, after the Fiestas De Las Americas.
The rally was an end to a fantastic week where the Oklahoma Democratic Party had been on the Road Trip to Victory bus tour with Democratic leaders and elected officials from all over Oklahoma, including cities like Ada, Durant, Yukon, Bartlesville, McAlester, Enid, and Stillwater.
The Oklahoma Democratic Party received hundreds of thank-yous and congratulations for this road trip, understanding that our Democratic values align more with Oklahomans than the extremist perspectives portrayed in the news and what is spread throughout social media.

Banned Books the Forbidden Fruit Ripe for the Pick’n
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, — OCTOBER 4, 2023 – Oklahoma leaders are fast following a national movement that is nothing more than an ill-thought-out strategy that is counterintuitive to keeping these “dangerous” materials out of the hands of our children. The Oklahoma Democratic Party is appalled by our Legislature and State Superintendent of Public Education for putting our state’s future at risk of being unable to work in a diverse society.
It’s widely known that censorship of books, movies, music, and many other arts prompts more interest as to why groups are trying to keep artistic freedom of expression mediums in hiding. Fear tends to motivate these actions—fear of the unknown, being uncontrollable, and fear of what others will think.
Book-banning advocates are afraid that the content in these books will sway the readers to become “immoral” human beings. Unlike past book-banning efforts, the recent flight to censorship has been politicized and crossed the line of embracing religious doctrine into our government to push through the use of scripture to justify the bannings. FOX News Pushes Back on Walters Claims of Communist Indoctrination
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, — September 25, 2023 – Oklahoma State’s Superintendent of Public Instruction is again making up lies for the media, and even for Congress. Walters was a guest on Fox News after his hearing in D.C., lying that communist forces are indoctrinating our public school children in Oklahoma. The Fox News anchorwoman interviewing him saw right through his lies and called him out.
Even when confronted, Walters just keep going in circles with his same, old talking points.
“Desperate measure for a desperate man. Walter’s false claims are another straw-grasping attempt to make parents think they better remove their kids from public schools over an alleged communist curriculum. There’s no basis for his fabrications, and they are just more lies for attention,” stated Alicia Andrews, Chair of the Oklahoma Democratic Party. Read more...
