Hi. It’s Roland Gutierrez, the Democratic TX State Senator running against Ted Cruz for U.S. Senate. This week, I delivered a letter to Governor Greg Abbott requesting a special session to address the 900,000 Texans who have lost Medicaid coverage since April, a majority of which have lost their health coverage not because of ineligibility but because of the state’s computer glitches, procedural errors, and paperwork. I’ve called on Gov. Abbott to do the right thing for Texas families by taking action to fix our crumbling Medicaid system. No Texan should face cancer alone, and no Medicaid enrollee should arrive at a medical facility only to be turned away because of a technical failure or procedural error on behalf of a state agency. It is a tragedy, and we can fix it right now. Greg Abbott only responds to strength. So please add your name to my petition calling on him to do the right thing and fix Texas’ crumbling Medicaid system. |
