I want to thank you so much for your support this past month. I can’t describe how much it has meant to me to see small dollar contributions coming in to fuel our campaign, volunteers knocking on doors, and people joining our movement both on the ground and online.

I also want to give very special recognition to everyone who signed and distributed petitions to get me on the ballot for our primary. Gathering these petitions is hard work, and everyone who attended a petition event, signed a petition, or helped get signatures has set the very foundation of our campaign — thank you!

I had intended for this email to just be a simple “thank you,” an opportunity to exhale and take a breath as a team. But we’ve just gotten huge news that could change everything: Donald Trump is coming to Scranton this week.

John, we’ve been saying for months that PA-08 is National Republicans' top target for flipping a Democratic seat from blue to red, and this proves it.

Not only do they carpet the airwaves with ads attacking me, not only do they send Mike Pence, not only do they send Betsy DeVos, not only do they send Kellyanne Conway, now they are sending the President of the United States himself to our backyard to flip this seat.

The President is sure to raise a lot of funds and energy for Republicans here, which is why I am personally asking you to pitch into our campaign before Donald Trump arrives in Scranton on Thursday. [[link removed]]
