How El Paso Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce Is Ensuring Capital Readiness For Rural Hispanic Entrepreneurs

The EPHCC is the pre-eminent resource for business and the leading advocate in supporting the growth of the El Paso Border Metroplex. Its Capital Navigators Pilot Program is making it possible for Hispanic and immigrant rural entrepreneurs to get access to capital resources to grow via the development of culturally sensitive technical assistance; technology-driven, grassroots outreach efforts to business owners; and strong partnerships with federal government agencies. Justice-Informed Retail Incubation Programs Supporting Women Entrepreneurs Of Color

Catapult of Greater Pittsburgh (CGP) is a social and economic justice nonprofit serving and connecting families and communities to resources to mitigate poverty and accelerate the process of wealth formation. CGP’s “Startup to Storefront” retail incubation and entrepreneurship program is one of a suite of entrepreneurship supports providing opportunities for low-income, Black women entrepreneurs to start and expand their small businesses. Colorado River Officials To Expand Troubled Water Conservation Program In 2024

Colorado River officials plan to expand a conservation program next year that pays farmers and ranchers to use less water. But questions remain about some of the proposed ideas and the program’s overall efficacy. While there have been some challenges, the project is set to expand in 2024, Colorado Water Conservation Board Director Lauren Ris said during the National Community Reinvestment Coalition’s Just Economy conference in Denver on Sept. 27. US job openings unexpectedly rose in August, another sign the US labor market remains strong despite higher interest rates — perhaps too strong for the inflation fighters at the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve wants to see the red-hot US job market cool off, reducing pressure on businesses to raise pay, which can feed into higher prices.
