Biden Administration Is Prioritizing Illegal Migrants Over Military
- The Biden administration is paying billions to provide hotel rooms, room service and recreational activities for migrants, while our military members are subjected to mold, sewage issues, rodent infestations and dangerous conditions.
- The administration is paying $2.5 billion in taxpayer funds for Immigrations and Custom Enforcement (ICE) to house migrants in nice facilities, which have a large amount of space available, and also paying to put the migrants up in hotels.
- ICE provides migrants not only food and a bed, but medical and dental care, recreation and other services to meet higher standards than county detention systems, for example.
- Meanwhile, facilities that fail to meet Defense Department requirements for privacy and safety were identified, the Government Accounting Office recently testified at a hearing held by the House Armed Services Committee Quality of Life Panel.
- Even given the challenging fiscal environment Biden’s reckless spending has created, American taxpayers wouldn’t want to skimp on housing for our military, especially while those here illegally are given such attractive accommodations.

Texas Should Follow Lead of Neighboring Arizona on School Choice
- Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has called a special legislative session to begin Oct. 9 to expand K-12 options for Texas families.
- In the past few years, nine states have made every K-12 student eligible for education choice.
- Evidence from other states shows that students benefit greatly from school choice policies.
- Variety in schools allows families to match the aspirations of their child with specialized schools, giving both students and teachers greater opportunity in the process.
- School choice policies benefit teachers, too. In Arizona, teachers can start their own schools, and families effectively decide which of those new schools thrive, replicate or close. Texas should demonstrate the same confidence in rural teachers and communities to create a vibrant set of schools.

How Project 2025 Is Gearing Up for Next Conservative Presidential Administration
- Project 2025, a coalition of over 70 organizations, is the conservative movement’s effort to get ready for the next conservative administration. Every day we see the effects of the current administration, whether it’s the open southern border, rampant inflation, a woke and weaponized government, foreign policy disaster, and we need new leadership in this country.
- The goal of Project 2025 is to dismantle the administrative state and put power back into the hands of the people.
- For too long, the administrative state has stymied the agendas of conservative presidents. This project is to make sure that doesn’t happen again.
