John,

When Roe v. Wade fell, abortion advocates raced to welcome even more abortion facilities into already abortion-friendly states.

It's a cynical and condescending ploy that assumes women are eager to have abortions--and so far it doesn't seem to be working out.

Last fall, Vermont enshrined a right to abortion in its constitution...

...but Tom, the Barre 40 Days for Life campaign leader, said his local Planned Parenthood is no longer doing abortions!

Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England has closed FOUR Vermont locations and another in New Hampshire.

Combined with recently closed abortion facilities in states like New York, Colorado, and Michigan, it appears the market for abortion isn't as strong as the abortion industry and its friends in government and media would have you believe!

Even before Roe was overturned, nearly half of all abortion facilities to close their doors after a 40 Days for Life campaign were located in pro-abortion states.

No matter where you live, you can help end abortion. Find your closest vigil and sign up to pray at:

Torrance, California

A few years ago, Family Planning Associates in Torrance downsized to a strip mall location.

"Sadly, this location is within walking distance of elementary, middle, and high schools," wrote Irene, the local leader. "What they didn't know is that many of our 40 Days for Life volunteers also are close by."

The strip mall site is an effective location for vigil participants who do Sidewalk Outreach...

...and its busy location also makes it possible to witness to the many cars passing by.

"Volunteers report many positive honks and thumbs-up gestures," Irene said.

St. Paul, Minnesota

With the overturning of Roe, Minnesota moved to liberalize its abortion laws...but on a recent visit to St. Paul, 40 Days for Life director of medical affairs and education and former abortion provider Dr. Haywood Robinson found pro-lifers are equal to the challenge.

"They tried to cancel Dr. Robinson’s message," said Rev. Brian Walker, who leads 40 Days for Life in the Twin Cities. "The mockers and scoffers came with their bullhorns to drown out our praise and worship--unsuccessfully."

Abortion supporters are right to be concerned about Dr. Robinson's message getting out, because he's not the only abortion worker who has seen the light and left the industry. More than 250 abortion industry staffers have quit their jobs in response to a 40 Days for Life vigil.

And he said to them, ‘Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’ But they did not understand what he said to them. He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart.

--Luke 2:49-51

Lord, we trust that you are always with us even as we encounter the mysteries of life, both great and small. Please give us the grace to accept your will for our lives, especially in the moments when we cannot fully understand how your plan will work together for good.

For life,
