John,
Hi, it’s Jane Fonda.
For decades, universities across the United States have heavily invested in the fossil fuel industry using taxpayer money and tuition payments. I have seen firsthand over the past few years how passionate and involved young people, including students in universities and colleges across the country, are in the fight against the climate crisis.
And yet, while thousands of students continue to demand climate action, they are forced to prop up the fossil fuel industry because their universities’ leadership control how their money is invested.
Now, college students and young people are demanding universities and colleges to divest from the fossil fuel industry and take action to address climate change. Will you join me in supporting them by signing our petition?

Universities should be on the cutting edge of the movement to combat the climate crisis. And I know they can be, but every investment in fossil fuels is both dangerous and counterproductive to the climate movement.
Sign our petition today urging universities to divest from fossil fuels! It’s time we demand climate action.
Everyone has a stake in the climate movement, and it’s important that we hold them accountable to build a livable future for all.
Add your name to the petition urging universities to divest from fossil fuels today!

Let’s fight like hell together,
Jane Fonda
