Hi there --
This weekend, Ross and I wrote an article for Buzzfeed answering a question that's been coming up a lot lately: What can you do if you absolutely cannot stomach the idea of donating, volunteering, or otherwise publicly supporting the Democratic party's nominee for president?
You can read the entire piece here, but I'll sum it up for you: First, vote for them anyway, especially if you have any sort of privilege. The people who will be most harmed by your failure to vote against Trump are people who are already seriously hurting, and that is a responsibility to take seriously, especially if you live in one of the battleground states where the margin could be dangerously close.
Second, donate and go knock doors for state and local candidates. Presidential races tend to suck all of the energy -- and money -- out of the space, and local candidates will have a tough time raising the funds they need to cover the basics.
Of course, we think one of the best investments you can make is in Run for Something. We've endorsed dozens of young, local progressives who are out talking to voters in their communities, and we're still recruiting more. Make sure we can support them by chipping in $10 or $50 today:
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

P.S. Honestly, these are things you can (and should!) do even if you adore the eventual nominee. After all, they'll need partners in governing.
