This weekend, I joined MSNBC to discuss the House’s historic bipartisan effort to avoid a government shutdown.

I voted with House Democrats and Republicans on a short-term solution to avoid a government shutdown because I know how hard a government shutdown would affect working families in Lehigh Valley and across the country.
As I said on air, and I’ve been saying for weeks, the only way to get this done is along bipartisan lines, and thankfully, McCarthy realized that.
Over 200 House Democrats voted to keep the government open, while over 90 Republicans voted against it.
This government shutdown was averted thanks to Democrats. This is yet another reminder of House Republicans’ inaction, infighting, and political charades.
That’s why it’s absolutely vital that we take back the House in 2024, and that starts with protecting vulnerable seats like mine. Will you chip in to help us keep PA-07 blue and flip the House next year?
