Hey folks,

I’ll be honest, this was a tough week in Washington for me.

While we thankfully secured a bipartisan resolution to stave off a government shutdown without giving in to any of the extremist GOP’s painful spending cuts, it was quickly overshadowed by yet another Republican-led drama show that sent the House of Representatives into disarray.

Look, my number one priority — every day — is to make New Jersey a better and more affordable place to live, work, and raise a family. And unlike many of my colleagues, I know politics is not a zero-sum game. The utter chaos we’re seeing from the House Republican majority isn’t productive for anyone, and I don’t consider it a “win on the scoreboard” for Democrats.

At the end of the day, folks look to Congress for solutions, not headlines and sound bites. I’m hopeful that the House can return to order and get back to work for the people, but until then, I want to know:
