We’re sure you’ve heard by now that retired NFL celebrity Brett Favre was involved in the misuse of millions of taxpayer dollars intended to help needy families. And we know you’ve heard that our current Attorney General has pursued zero consequences for the theft of those funds.
Now, Favre is set to provide sworn testimony on the matter on October 26th. And of course, Greta’s opponent is asking that his testimony be kept sealed from the public until after the November election.
Public accountability hasn’t been a pillar of our current AG’s practice. But this recent move to keep information on one of the biggest corruption scandals our state has ever seen hidden from voters shows exactly why we can’t afford any four more years of this AG.
Greta isn’t afraid of her track record and will act with honesty and integrity as our Attorney General. And when celebrities and politicians try to skirt our laws, Greta won’t hesitate to prosecute and recoup lost state funds.
The difference between Greta and her opponent is night and day. Mississippi deserves an Attorney General who will represent them, not special interests, and our current AG has shown she’s not up to the task. So it’s up to us to give her the boot.
