Friend, my campaign’s picked up a lot of buzz since I announced I was running for Congress last month. But there are just some things about me you won’t hear from the press.
I know this district. I grew up here. My ancestors were pioneers who settled in the Sierra foothills. My family remains stewards of these lands. And I’ve hiked 500 miles of this district on the Pacific Crest Trail.
This love of the land gave me a unique understanding in my job helping protect Californians from wildfires. But what led me to my job as Deputy Secretary for Forest and Wildland Resilience was a wildfire not far from home.
When the deadliest wildfire ignited 96 miles from my hometown, I got in my car and drove to Paradise to help my community in any way needed. The trauma and devastation I witnessed changed the trajectory of my career and led me to my job working on the frontline of California’s wildfire crisis and fast-tracking wildfire prevention efforts to protect communities.
Even in my lesser known work in national security — serving in the US Defense Department, the US State Department and USAID — you may not know that I was stationed as a civilian at one of the deadliest checkpoints in Baghdad, working to give Iraqi citizens the tools to build their own democracy.
Friend, tackling tough issues has always been the lifeblood of my career, and when I see a problem, I’ve been the one leading the charge to find a solution.
I’m running for Congress because Kevin Kiley’s extremism is a problem for CA-03 that can’t go unchecked. It’s time for a real problem solver to represent our district, and I’m ready for the challenge. Will you rush a contribution of any amount so we can flip this seat, take back the House, and send me to Congress in 2024?

If Kevin Kiley would prefer to get his press by fueling incendiary culture wars and cozying up to MAGA sweethearts, so be it. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my many lines of work, it’s that the loudest voice in the room is rarely the one best qualified to lead.
Let’s move mountains — together.
