Here's what happened, John:

FIRST: Eight Republican attorneys general sued to end DACA, a federal program created during the Obama administration to protect certain immigrants who arrive in the United States as children.

THEN: Just recently, a federal judge ruled that the DACA program is illegal — leaving the fate of hundreds of thousands of young adults hanging in the balance as the case pends further review.

NOW: The only way to ensure that DACA recipients can continue to remain in the United States is for Congress to codify the program into law.
