Dear John,

On September 19, 2023, the Azerbaijani government launched a large-scale offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh, leading to Azerbaijan gaining full control over the territory, and severely impacting the over 120,000 ethnic Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh. Over 100,000 Armenians have evacuated, fleeing to Armenia to seek safety from prolonged conflict and ethnic tensions in the region.

This surge in refugees has placed unprecedented pressure on NGOs in Armenia who are struggling to meet the needs of the displaced people.

And this is why we’re reaching out today. Together, we can provide essential funding and support to women, queer, and trans communities directly affected by this crisis.

Since the crisis started just a few short weeks ago, the impact on displaced Armenians and the unique effect on women,  queer and trans communities has been severe. With resources and shelter already scarce, people in the queer and trans community are being turned away because of homophobia and transphobia. Women and children are arriving at shelters after journeying for days without food.

Make a gift today and help provide essential resources and unique support to women,  queer, and trans individuals impacted by this crisis.

Humanitarian conflicts affect women more heavily and queer and trans persons who are displaced in during these crises often experience multiple, intersecting forms of violence, discrimination and abuse. This is why we need to step up now to help those in need

In solidarity,
