Commission to consider nonresident big game permit fees

Nebraska Game and Parks Commissioners will consider fee increases to some nonresident big game permits at an upcoming meeting on Oct. 13 at Fort Robinson State Park. Also on the agenda are sportfishing orders relating to daily bag limits, possession limits, length limits and open waters fishing areas.

The public is invited to be part of updating Nebraska's state wildlife action plan, better known as the Nebraska Natural Legacy Project. An outline of conservation efforts and priorities for Nebraska's most vulnerable plant and animal species, these meetings offer a chance to learn more about the plan, ask questions and offer feedback.

Oct. 21-22 Special Youth Pheasant Hunts planned
Several locations across Nebraska will be stocked with rooster pheasants ahead of the upcoming statewide youth pheasant, quail and partridge season. Open to youth 15 and younger, the season provides an excellent mentored hunt opportunity for aspiring young hunters.
