I’ll make this quick, friend. Can you chip in $15 to help us fight the climate crisis?
We have the solutions to mitigate the worst consequences of climate change and prepare for a sustainable future. What we lack is the political will in government to enact those solutions at the rate and scale necessary.
EnviroVoters is unique as an organization in that we build that political power. And it’s working.
Last year we helped get single-use plastic banned (SB 54) and get oil drilling next to homes and schools banned (SB 1137). We helped push the state to a more aggressive timeline to achieve 100% clean energy (SB 1020) and carbon neutrality (AB 1279). And we helped increase the state’s climate investment in the budget by nearly 50%!
This year, 11 of our 12 priority climate and democracy bills that made it to the floor passed out of the legislature, including SB 253, our sponsored bill. SB 253 is the biggest climate bill in the country in 2023 — and it would not have passed without EnviroVoters!
Friend, we’re the only organization funding this kind of political climate work in the state!
One of my main goals as CEO is for EnviroVoters to have the resources we need to continue making sure California leads the way to solve the climate crisis. Because when California leads, other states and nations follow suit.
As a small nonprofit up against corporate polluters like Big Oil, which has spent over $13 million so far this year fighting climate policy, we need your support to help us help California lead the way.
Even just 15 bucks would go a long way toward climate action. Friend, can I count on you to make a small donation today?
