John,

Can you believe that Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist is our guest for our re-election campaign kickoff?

Along with Governor Whitmer, he’s been our ally since day one, fighting for environmental protections, working to rebuild our roads and spearheading the state’s efforts to expand broadband internet throughout communities like ours.

With your help we’ve made broadband access, pursuing clean energy and protecting our environment a state and legislative priority. We passed the Legislative Ethics and Transparency Act out of the House to ensure that our government works for us, and after 300 days without Republican leadership action, we are finally making progress on setting PFAS contamination standards.

You guaranteed our successes.

Now, with my second term in the legislature well underway, I’m getting ready for one more re-election campaign. And I need your help.

Representing a community like the 52nd House District that has such a broad range of political views is a privilege, and I will be campaigning hard to continue representing our values in Lansing. Doing this will require an extraordinary amount of work to ensure that I can earn the support required to be re-elected. Our plan is to:

  • Knock 25,000 doors with campaign flyers
  • Feed and support over 100 volunteers
  • Call voters to learn priorities and share our campaign message
  • Mail campaign literature to all likely voters
  • Purchase and display over 500 yard signs
  • Serve up targeted digital ads
  • Send a letter and reminders to absentee voters
  • Launch an aggressive “Get out the Vote” campaign in all 41 precincts
This is a full campaign plan and I cannot do it without you. Every $1 that is contributed meaningfully helps fulfill our campaign goals, one by one.

Your support means the world to me and I am committed to being a strong steward of your contribution. I am honored to have Lt. Gov. Gilchrist by my side and am looking forward to seeing you at my Re-Election Campaign Kickoff from 6:30-8 pm Thursday, March 19th at Jolly Pumpkin (Null Taphouse) in Dexter.

Best,
