The PolicyLink Housing team is seeking applicants for its inaugural class of Spatial Futures Fellows. The Spatial Futures Fellowship (SFF) supports leaders that are visioning new futures for land and housing in this country. These are futures where all Black, Brown, and Indigenous people have a secure place to call home, the opportunity to repair their relationship with the land, and to gain restitution for centuries of racist policies that have denied them the ability to thrive for generations.

The one-year fellowship runs from January to December 2024. Fellows will receive ongoing support and growth opportunities, including:
a stipend of $18,000 to support their work in the cohort and to help advance their reparative spatial justice project;
monthly virtual meetings in 2024 for shared learning, group discussions, and professional development;
an in-person convening in June 2024 to build relationships with other fellows, advisors, and PolicyLink staff; and
Coaching and mentorship from expert advisors.

SFF is an incubator for leaders dedicated to infusing a "Reckoning, Repair, and Transformation"approach into their housing and land justice work and the broader ecosystems they influence. This methodology foregrounds reparative justice, which aims to rectify environmental and spatialized racism and its harmful impacts on Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities. Through this work, PolicyLink is testing and scaling innovative interventions, advocating for reparative land and housing justice policies at the local, state, and federal levels, and forging new models for public and private investment in communities.
