Growing up, I was lucky to have incredible teachers who supported and mentored me, helping me to work hard and never give up on my dreams. Their constant encouragement allowed me to put myself through college with part-time jobs and student loans — and, thanks to that hard work, a lot of luck, and even more amazing teachers, I was able to achieve the American Dream.

Teachers are the backbone of New Jersey’s world-class public education system. Together, we’ve improved teachers' health benefits and increased funding to our public schools to better support New Jersey’s incredible educators.

I will always stand with New Jersey’s teachers and ensure they are as prepared as possible to deliver a world-class education for all our students, no matter their background.
