Good morning, John! I wanted to share some updates from the first 24 hours of my campaign for NY-01 with you:

3.14 Action has endorsed my campaign. Their president, Shaughnessy Naughton, said, “There will be no greater champion for science in Congress than Nancy Goroff… 3.14 Action fund is proud to endorse Nancy Goroff and will do all we can to see to it that she is NY-01's next congresswoman and the only female Ph.D. scientist to serve.”
Newsday reported NY-01 “could shift to the left,” according to Suffolk County Democratic Committee (SCDC) Chairman Rich Schaffer.
SCDC Chairman Rich Schaffer also told Newsday, “Nancy is a very talented community leader, scientist, educator, someone whose credentials are desperately needed in Congress."
Politico reported that Democrats are putting their full weight into flipping NY-01. While my weak opponent was elected during the 2022 New York red wave, our district voted narrowly for President Joe Biden in 2020.

My opponent is already spreading lies about me right out of the typical GOP playbook -- a sure sign he's worried about going up against me. He should be.

To fight back, we’ve set a goal of hitting 600 Founding Donors by this time tomorrow. Will you contribute any amount that is right for you and your family to help me flip NY-01 from red to blue?

After the meltdown in the House of Representatives this week, I am both frustrated and ready for change, like many voters in Suffolk County.
