arsonists burned to the ground

John,

It was the most hopeful story in the Amazon: a small team replanting
hundreds of thousands of trees in deforested rainforest. Then arsonists
burned it to the ground.

Now the small team needs our help to rebuild. Rioterra is dedicated to
returning lost forest to the Amazon -- harvesting seeds from ancient
trees, planting saplings, and nurturing them to grow. It's an inspiring
story, and just a few weeks ago thousands of us chipped in to help
supercharge their effort.

Then tragedy struck. Police have confirmed it was arson, probably sparked
by commercial cattle farmers trying to intimidate these forest protectors.
A brand-new forest the size of Manhattan - gone.

We cannot let the arsonists win. If enough of us (again) chip in now we
can rush Rioterra cash to get them right back to work rebuilding and
saving a corner of the Amazon -- and we can step up our campaigning
against illegal deforestation everywhere.

The Amazon is speeding towards a point of no-return. Stripped and burned
and hacked by chainsaws, it faces the possibility of total ecosystem
collapse.

Scientists said this project was one of the brightest hopes left to rescue
the rainforest -- and if an area twice the size of Germany could be
rapidly replanted, the forest would have a chance to recover and rebuild.

Rioterra is doing everything it can to make it happen. And success here
would be a leap forward for the planet -- locking critical tonnes of
carbon back into the Amazon’s extraordinary trees and restoring vital
habitats for jaguars, macaws and untold other species.

That's what makes this project so important -- and one of the most hopeful
things the Amazon had going. Now it needs all the help it can get.

and help the Amazon rebuild once more?

The group’s founder grew up amid a forest being destroyed. Now he's
reliving it with the fire. But he's determined to give the Amazon new
life. Together we can help and give the Amazon a chance to recover and
rebuild once more. Are you in?

Thanks for all that you do,
Olivia, Danny, and the Ekō team
