GOP colleague shares vile Matt Gaetz rumors floating around Congress
Sen. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma has had enough of Matt Gaetz's shenanigans and is spilling the tea about just what kind of man he is. After complaining that the media refused to do its due diligence when Gaetz was accused of teenage sex trafficking, Mullin then dished that "there’s a reason why no one in the conference came and defended him — because we had all seen the videos he was showing on the House floor...of the girls he had slept with... He bragged about how he would crush [erectile dysfunction] medicine and chase it with energy drinks so he could go all night." Showing private videos of women to other members on the FLOOR OF CONGRESS without their consent is truly despicable behavior...and exactly the kind of thing you'd expect a scumbag who looks up to Donald Trump to do.
Take Action: Tell Congress to reject Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Biden impeachment

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump as House speaker surges into national spotlight
If we thought the GOP speakership debacle couldn't be any messier...we were very, very wrong.
Take Action: Tell Congress to do everything they can to protect our right to vote!

Matt Gaetz and Kevin McCarthy SCREWED as GOP feud erupts
No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen: Whoa...
"Trump show is over," says New York attorney general as third day of fraud trial ends
The disgraced ex-president, undaunted by a gag order, spent the third day of his trial attacking the presiding judge and bitterly complaining about his lack of a jury trial, which his OWN team failed to request. He earned a sharp rebuke from Attorney General Letitia James, who denounced his whining as a “political stunt” and a “fundraising stop." "I will not be bullied...justice will be served!" James said. It's about damn time!
Take Action: Tell President Biden to decriminalize marijuana!
Giuliani to lose 2nd attorney in Georgia, leaving him without local legal team
The shambolic Trump crony and accused sexual predator is now without a legal team in Georgia, where he's facing a slew of racketeering charges for trying to steal the 2020 election. Giuliani is unable to pay any of his lawyers and in fact has picked up even more lawsuits worth more than $1 million over ongoing failure to pay his bills. Things are truly falling apart at an escalating pace for the lecherous old drunk in one of the more explicit instances of "f*ck around and find out" that the nation has witnessed in recent times.
Take Action: Tell President Biden to take climate action ASAP!

Two top House Republicans emerge as early front-runners in speaker's race
The battle for the House speakership appears destined to come down to Steve "KKK Grand Wizard David Duke without the baggage" Scalise and Jim "don't ask, don't tell anyone about the molesting going on in this high school gym" Jordan. At least they properly represent two key constituencies of today's Republican Party.
GOP guts federal subsidies for child care programs as families and providers scramble to cope
The party of "FaMiLy VaLuEs" and "It's About the Children!!!" is now responsible for 220,000 child care programs across the country losing critical federal funding, which may force as many as HALF to close their doors permanently. “It feels like they’re just setting everyone up for failure,” mourned West Virginia mom Kaitlyn Adkins, who doesn't know how she's going to be able to finish law school without child care for her kids. And there it is — Republicans obsessed with fetuses being carried to full term no matter the circumstances simply cannot be bothered to care the moment babies are actually born. It's a cruel and heartless ruse for the ages.

Winning one open Arizona seat is key to taking back the House
Yassamin Ansari for Congress: Winning in Arizona means we get our majority back — and losing means that some of the most unhinged election-denying, democracy-hating Trumpers in the country will be headed to Washington. Yassamin Ansari is a fantastic candidate running for Congress in a crucial Arizona seat to make sure we deliver President Biden a new majority for his second term! Can you chip in to help keep Trump's most radical minions out of office?
Staten Island Trumpers torment asylum seekers with loudspeakers and flashlights
Fanatic MAGA minions took time out of their busy days not making the world a better place to torment families fleeing US-sponsored violence and poverty in South America, shouting "you're not wanted here," "you're not welcome," and "f*ck you" outside a school where 60 asylum seekers were given temporary shelter. One knuckle-dragger questioned aloud whether the immigrants were pedophiles. The entire affair was capped off with a xenophobic speech from — why not — Newsmax host Johnny Tabacco, who admitted the screeching volume of the PA system was intentionally jacked up to cause maximum discomfort for the refugees inside. It is shamefully clear that, in fact, we are the ones not sending our best.
Healthcare workers launch strike against Kaiser Permanente
75,000 healthcare workers have walked off the job in the largest healthcare strike in American history, including workers from six states and Washington, DC. Workers are demanding long-term investments to address an endless, crushing staffing shortage in addition to better pay and benefits. Kaiser Permanente made $2 billion in profit last quarter; it's obvious they can afford to hire some more people and pay them what they're worth.
Medicare Advantage overbills taxpayers by $140 BILLION a year
The privately run, government-funded Medicare Advantage program is overcharging US taxpayers by up to $140 billion per year, an astonishing sum that could be used to completely eliminate Medicare Part B premiums or fully fund Medicare's prescription drug program. Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP), an advocacy group that supports transitioning to a single-payer health insurance system, released a scathing report outlining precisely how MA bilks Americans out of billions year after year. "Medicare Advantage is just another example of the endless greed of the insurance industry poisoning American healthcare, siphoning money from vulnerable patients while delaying and denying necessary and often lifesaving treatment." the report said.
Elon's banker backers basically beguiled by bozo's barely breathing buy
The seven banks that made the astonishingly poor decision to help Elon Musk wildly overpay for Twitter and then immediately run it straight into the ground are having a severe case of buyer's remorse...especially since it's becoming clear that Twitter, sorry, uh, X isn't even worth how much debt it has, let alone what Elon paid — which, we must remind you, was a price that he HIMSELF set ($54.20 per share because 420 BRO, like weeeeed man, puff puff pass my choom, get it?). If things get worse, which they definitely will, the banks will be forced to repossess the cratering social media platform. Hopefully they will be willing to meet the apparently unreasonable demands of Twitter users, which include "make it work" and "get rid of the Nazis, please!"

For the union makes us strong!
