John,
If you, like me, are relieved that the Conservative Party Conference is finally over forgive me for bringing it to your attention one final time.
Between the horrible nativist rhetoric <[link removed]>, the outright lies <[link removed]> and Priti Patel dancing with Nigel Farage <[link removed]> the last few days were as infuriating as they were nauseating.
However, something about the Prime Minister’s speech left me slightly concerned:
<[link removed]>Read my latest piece in the Metro <[link removed]>As we saw play out in the Uxbridge by-election, no matter how poorly the Tories treat the public, no matter how much money they waste <[link removed]> or damage they do <[link removed]>, our broken electoral system means they can still win if people don’t vote tactically at the next election. It may explain why Sunak was so confident yesterday.
That’s why I’m asking you, John, to pledge to vote tactically at the next election:
<[link removed]>I pledge to vote tactically <[link removed]>Share this link and above all, tell your family, friends, colleagues and neighbours to vote tactically. Together we can make sure that the next time the Tories have their annual conference, they are no longer in power.
Sincerely,
Naomi Smith
