Dear John,
Abortion is a terrible offense to human life. But it’s an offense made even worse by shoddy abortionists who profit from dead babies and their vulnerable mothers.
In Louisiana, the problem of dangerous and medically substandard abortion facilities is well documented. And yet, the Louisiana abortion industry has fought all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to try to stop a law that merely holds abortion doctors in the state to a better standard of care.
The case will be argued before the high court this Wednesday, March 4.
John, since ADF was founded, we have prayed for and worked toward the day when Roe v. Wade is overturned and abortion is unthinkable in our society.
Unfortunately, laws like this one in Louisiana are necessary in a nation with legalized abortion. That’s why ADF has been working with allies on this case, including assisting with creation of the trial-court record, helping coordinate friend-of-the-court briefs at the Supreme Court, and filing our own brief on behalf of Louisiana legislators. We need to win this case in the courtroom—and in the court of public opinion.
With arguments just days away, we’re asking you to join us in praying for this important case.
Please pray that the Louisiana Attorney General is articulate and convincing in her arguments defending the law. Pray for the Supreme Court justices—that they will listen to women and not the abortion industry. And most of all, please pray for our nation. Pray that God will continue to change hearts and minds to recognize the horrors of abortion and its stain on our society.
The abortion lobby has shown its true colors by fighting this commonsense law.
And while those same people like to claim that the pro-life community is only pro-baby—that we don’t care about the vulnerable women that abortion also harms—this is another chance to prove them wrong. This is a chance to share our pro-life witness in loving them both—protecting them both. |
