John, last month was a pretty busy month for democracy, and this month is no different. We’re so proud of our team and people like you for keeping the fight for fair maps very much alive. When you donate to All On the Line, you help us continue to play a key role in protecting our future. So, let's take a look at what’s happened in redistricting during September and what we are looking ahead to this month.
In September,
- The North Carolina Senate and House Committees on Redistricting met daily for public hearings from September 25 through 27.
- The Ohio Redistricting Commission hosted public hearings on September 25th and 26th.
And in October,
- Parties in Milligan v. Allen, a Section 2 challenge to Alabama’s congressional map, had the opportunity to state their objections to the court-appointed special master’s remedial maps during a hearing on October 3rd. The imminent release of the court’s decision on the new remedial map could be released any day now, holding significant implications for fair representation in Alabama.
Last but not least,
- There are only 33 days until Election Day!
We have lots to look forward to. As we look ahead, we are reminded how much work there is left to achieve the fairest maps, and the fairest elections. Will you rush a donation to All On The Line Today?
