Hi John,
Did you miss our last webinar “Survivor Justice On and Off Campus?" No worries! There is still time to catch up on this engaging conversation about advocating for survivors of sexual assault, centering survivors in your activism, and increasing education about how sexual assault and violence are directly related to reproductive justice.

Check Out What’s Going on This Month:
International Safe Abortion Day
Last week was International Safe Abortion Day, a recognition of the power of activism and global solidarity for abortion justice. Activating over 12 million people in 85 countries, we’re proud to join in the chorus for abortion access for all.

Self-Care
Self-care is an intentional practice that roots us in the present despite the oppression we may face. Regular self-care is essential for sustainable and effective activism.
Here are our self-care tips for October:
1. Stop thinking about work at night. If you love activism as much as I do (and I suspect you do if you're reading this), it's easy to think about it all the time. But overthinking and rumination can lead to neglecting other important areas of our lives, including health, relationships, and room for play. If you still don't care, check this out: a new study says ruminating at night makes leaders less effective. So make some time to check out for real, every day. – Erin, Co-Founder and Executive Director
2. Practice Gratitude! I have recently started taking a daily moment of gratitude because life be life-ing (as the kids say). Hot tea in hand, eyes closed or lazily open, in silence, thinking about all the people, places, and things that I'm grateful for. We're wired to pay more attention to the "bad," so this is a good way to intentionally begin and/or end your day on a good note. – Evonnia, Senior Movement Building and Research Manager
3. Get yourself some flowers! A few times a month when I swing by my local grocery store, I grab a small bouquet of flowers to brighten up my living space. It only costs a few dollars and when I glance at them throughout the week it makes me smile. – Jessica, Digital Outreach and Opposition Research Director
See you next month!
In Solidarity,
