John,

One thing is becoming increasingly clear this election: if National win, New Zealanders lose.

Here’s a bit more about why –

New analysis showing only 3,000 households would receive the $250 a fortnight that National has been widely touting in their advertising is further evidence their tax policy is a scam.

99% of Kiwi households won’t get $250 a fortnight despite National’s publicity materials claiming that is what “an average-income family with children” would receive. It’s a lie and a scam. There are 1.6 million households in New Zealand. Only 0.18% will get the $250 that National’s promotional materials claim an “average family” will get.

National have been scamming New Zealanders about their number one policy in this election and they’re now exposed.

Christopher Luxon will say anything to get elected and that includes misleading Kiwis about the size of their tax cuts. The reality is, many New Zealanders will get very little under National – and the cost to the country is huge.

This latest scam is in addition to National’s:

- $2 billion foreign buyer tax hole <[link removed]>

- Huge cuts to public services <[link removed]>

- Increased unemployment <[link removed]>

- Higher rates, water bills <[link removed]> and petrol prices <[link removed]>.

Nothing about National’s tax scam adds up, and people like you deserve better.

It is unprecedented for a major party’s flagship policy to have been so thoroughly discredited in an election campaign.

With 10 days until polling closes, New Zealanders need to take a closer look at National’s tax scam. It’s a house of cards that is rapidly collapsing. So, make sure you let your friends, family and colleagues know before they vote!

And if you’re able to, please chip in to help us spread the word <[link removed]>. We don’t want National to trick more New Zealanders into believing their lie.

Thanks,

Grant
