Hello John, On Monday night we had our official School Board Integrity Project Kick-Off. It was amazing to see so many folks come out to support us and learn how they can get more involved in the fight to push back against the extreme national views that have been seeping into school board races across the state. The energy in the room was palpable and we are so thankful to everyone who joined us. It was a wonderful night, but our work is just getting started. As Elizabeth Shockman from MPR reported today, We are working with more than 65 candidates across the state like Anna Williams to ensure they have the tools they need to run successful campaigns against extreme candidates fueled by national money and rhetoric who do not share the majority of Minnesotan's values. “We know that there is a concerted effort to take over our school boards. This is not Florida, this is not Texas, this is Minnesota,” Kyrstin Schuette, executive director of the School Board Integrity Project, told supporters Monday. |

As I told those who joined us Monday night, the stakes could not be higher for our students and for our communities across Minnesota. We must come together to center the conversation on our students, their needs, and our shared principles of integrity, respect, excellence, belonging, and trust right now. If you weren't able to make it out on Monday night, but want to see this work continue so we can ensure candidates who will share our values and put our students first get elected to our school boards, please contribute right now to ensure we can continue supporting candidates and empowering voters to make their voices heard in the upcoming election. In solidarity and gratitude, Kyrstin Schuette Executive Director School Board Integrity Project |
