John,
1,500 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, a group of young girls were found chained up in a house and sexually abused. The suspect, Oscar Ernesto Luna, was charged, while 11 others, likely suspects, living in this house were apprehended by border patrol.
This was a preventable tragedy. Had the southern border been secure, this would have never happened.
John, while the Biden administration surrenders our border to waves of illegal aliens, it’s our communities that are left paying the price.
This is not just a political issue; it's a matter of national security. When you have open borders, every state becomes a border state—including Minnesota.
John, as a Congress, we need to pass a budget that finishes the wall, supports Border Patrol and ICE agents, and gives them the resources they need to rapidly deport criminals and gang members living in our communities.
I have and will continue to be part of the solution to secure the southern border once and for all.
