Dear John,
Last week, I had the honor of standing shoulder to shoulder with the brave members of the UAW on the picket line amid their ongoing “Stand Up Strike" against the Big Three — Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis. This unfolding strike is a beacon of hope in our fight for economic and social justice, with the strategy of escalating actions over time to enhance negotiating leverage, showcasing a powerful, strategic approach towards a fair contract.
As I stood among the UAW members, the air was charged with a resolve that rekindled the spirit of the labor movement. Their courage is a living testament to a historic revival that echoes across industries, from automotive factories to academic halls.

The labor movement is not a relic of the past, but a beacon of hope for our future. Through collective action, workers are reclaiming their right to fair wages, humane working hours, and dignified conditions.
The rebirth of the labor movement challenges us to live up to the ideals we espouse, to support those brave enough to demand justice in the face of adversity. The fire that fuels the UAW's strike is the same fire that fuels our campaign: a burning desire for a nation that honors the dignity of work and the rights of workers.

Our journey towards a more equitable America is intertwined with the fortitude of unions like the UAW. They remind us that when we stand united, no force is mighty enough to thwart the march towards justice.
In solidarity with the UAW, and with every worker striving for fairness, I invite you to continue this conversation, to share the stories of the labor movement in your communities, and to rally the collective power that propels our campaign forward.
The road ahead is long, but together, we’ll traverse towards a dawn of revived labor solidarity and a reimagined American promise .
