As a junior high English teacher in a Title 1 school district, I've witnessed firsthand how unprecedented times can affect our most vulnerable communities.
Looking at Congress, we once again find ourselves in unprecedented times. The historic removal of Speaker McCarthy has left our legislative body in a state of chaos and uncertainty.
Whether it’s helping my students adapt to remote learning during a pandemic or supporting English language learners in my underfunded district, I understand what it takes to get results in tough situations.
In times like these, it is more important than ever to have leaders who can rise to the occasion and deliver real results for our communities.
John, McCarthy has proven time and time again that he won’t show up for our Bakersfield community:
Yesterday, McCarthy lost the Speaker’s gavel. We need to make sure he doesn’t have the opportunity to continue undeserving our community.
