STILL HEALING
My Childhood Makes This One Thing About Parenting So Damn Hard ([link removed])

“I was the only mother out of all my friends and family who didn’t send my kids to daycare or preschool. Since I was fortunate enough to stay at home, I wanted to spend as much time with my kids as I could, even on the days I desperately needed a break,” writes Diana Park. “I didn’t leave them with a babysitter for longer than a half hour until they were in elementary school, and my ex-husband and I never went away on vacation without them because I couldn’t handle it. I thought for sure something would happen to them if I weren’t there. To say it interfered with my marriage is an understatement.”

And then a friend said something that really put it all into perspective for her. Give it a read.

“The '90s are back, y'all, and have been for a while. From claw clips and low-rise jeans (a trend that could have seriously stayed in the archives) to middle parts and slip dresses, the era of 1990 has officially made a comeback,” writes Emily Weaver. “Also having a bit of a renaissance are the '90s TV shows and movies that raised us.” If you’ve been doing a little walk down memory lane, she’s got some book recs based on your faves.
