John, this is ridiculous.

Once again, Republicans in Congress have shown that they are 100 percent committed to sowing chaos and disarray. Instead of delivering for all Americans, they pushed our government to the brink of another MAGA-led shutdown. Now, the most extreme GOP faction has removed McCarthy as Speaker – and set us all up for a replay of the circus we saw in January.

Make no mistake, what we’re seeing right now is Republicans’ complete failure to lead. Meanwhile, the consequences of these failures continue to directly impact our communities and our most vulnerable neighbors. We deserve better than this, John.

It’s clearer than ever that we need a bold transformation in politics, not endless delay and distractions from the policies our communities demand. That means we need Democratic women to lead the way – because Democratic women get things done.

That’s why Emerge is doubling down on our efforts to recruit, train, and empower Democratic women to run for office and win in every single state. Our Emerge alums in Congress, now totaling EIGHT, include Rep. Lucy McBath, Rep. Abigail Spanberger, and Rep. Becca Balint. These champions have been working tirelessly to advance life-changing legislation for millions of Americans.

From addressing the gun violence epidemic and the mental health crisis to championing reproductive rights and lifesaving health care for all, our Emerge alums know what it means to show up and get to work.

Right now, Emerge is building a pipeline of bold Democratic women to replace MAGA extremists and the Republican officials who enable them. We have nearly 200 Emerge women on the ballot THIS YEAR, and we are working to advance more Democratic women to Congress through our 2024 trainings and beyond.
