Hi friend, 

In yet another spectacle for the American people from the chaotic House Republicans, Kevin McCarthy lost his job as Speaker of the House yesterday. This is the first time this has ever happened in the history of our country. Let me tell you why I voted for a new Speaker.

In less than a year, Kevin McCarthy has proven himself to be the weakest House Speaker in modern history. Every decision he's made was with eyes only on the Speaker’s gavel. Governance and trust have been secondary. 

He made corrupt bargains with right-wing extremists to seize power. He handed these misfits the very tools they wielded against him. All Americans should watch this latest circus and know that House Republicans have no business governing. 

We cannot save the GOP from themselves, team.

But we can save America from them by flipping just 5 seats to take the House back and install a new, competent Speaker that reflects our priorities and values next fall.
