Following recent non-partisan confirmation from her peers at the National Association of State Treasurers? (NAST) Annual Conference, Rachael was elected to serve as the organization?s secretary-treasurer for 2024.

Alyson Hayden is the director of the Bureau of State and Authority Finance which manages the various bonding and debt programs overseen by the Michigan Department of Treasury. Her area within Treasury is also responsible for managing relationships with the credit rating agencies, and she is passionate about maximizing efficiencies of asset and liability portfolios and structuring financings to optimize future flexibility, minimize costs and ensure sustainability. Alyson previously worked as a senior vice president at Robert W. Baird & Co., serving as municipal advisor to local units of government, school districts, and community colleges within the State of Michigan, along with state-level authorities, including the Michigan Department of Treasury's various financing arms.?
