The motion to vacate the Speaker of the House was a serious and somber moment for our country.
Time and time again, Kevin McCarthy went back on his word to appease the most extreme members of his party. He proved to be untrustworthy and unwilling to compromise for the greater good.
The American people expect us to solve the problems they care about. That’s why I am united with my House Democratic colleagues in our commitment to lower costs for families, grow the middle class, and make our communities safer - and we will continue to put people over politics.
Republicans have the majority in the House and it's up to them to end this chaos and dysfunction and get back to the people’s work. I will continue to work to find common ground and make progress for working families in South Jersey and across the country. |
