Before Tuesday’s election, we’re taking stock of voters’ top political issues. For San Franciscans, housing is number one.

So where does Nancy Pelosi stand?

That’s a good question, since she doesn’t have a housing or homelessness platform listed anywhere on her website!

If this isn’t proof Pelosi is out of touch with her constituents, I don’t know what is.

Pelosi owns multiple homes, including a multi-million dollar home in Pacific Heights. Meanwhile, like over two-thirds of San Franciscans, I’m a renter. I’ve also faced housing insecurity after my childhood home was foreclosed upon when I was sixteen.

We need a representative in Congress who understands the issues in our district and has a real plan to solve them. Can you chip in $25 before Tuesday?

There’s a real opportunity for the federal government to help solve San Francisco’s housing crisis—we just need a representative to step up.

Unlike Pelosi, I have a real plan to solve San Francisco’s rising cost of living.

I’ve joined Bernie Sanders in endorsing the Homes Guarantee, which is a plan developed by grassroots activists to end homelessness in the United States once and for all.

I support restoring billions of dollars in funding to the Department of Housing and Urban Development that have been cut since the Reagan era.

I support taking homes off of the speculative market through the revitalization and construction of millions of new public housing units, expansion of community land trusts, as well as a vacancy tax, home flipping tax, estate tax, and other fees to discourage speculation.

I support the expansion of tenants rights, including nationwide rent control, protections for the right to form a tenants union or go on rent strike, and universal right to counsel.

We deserve a representative with real solutions, not a Congressperson who ignores her constituents’ priorities. Your $25 can make a difference today!
